Respect Doesn’t Go Both Ways When Political Correctness Is Applied

Quote Posted on Updated on

You have to be a hermit or a snail living under a rock nowadays to not know what is going on in a nation that declares freedom for all. I remember when a person’s word was worth something to you, in that they had your respect and honor because they were for the most part honest about what they did or said. But come full circle to today and we see that many people say whatever they want even if it is dishonorable to themselves and others. This aspect of using the first amendment to justify an ability to do and say whatever, is disheartening in context to what the reality of that amendment stands for. It clearly doesn’t give us the right to degrade, demean, or to demagogue against someone expressing their right to say something.

So what does it say and what can we expect from its protection of our rights as citizens of a great nation? In the first part it states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. This is about having liberty from governmental ridicule or restraint concerning our rights to choose what religion we want, and not to be forced by the government to be loyal to any specific religious organization. Second; Congress shall make no laws by abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Meaning the government cannot make laws that are designed to keep us silent and without verbal or physical assembly to a petition of our rights as a United States citizens.

So nothing in the previous statements position those who abide in government nor any citizen to an ability to be disrespectful of a nations constituents, and it doesn’t say that they can ridicule and insult the stature of someone simply because they don’t agree with them. However today political correctness has done just that, in that it has applied an unjustified and unconstitutional mannerism of law to the verbal intercourse of the citizens of this nation. Political correctness is a fictitious rule based in a socialist ideology, that is force-ably imposed for the sole purpose of controlling the common narrative of this nation’s voice. Who is the primary enforcer of this socialist ideological rule? That would be the leftist media who do so via the political prowess they continue to have within the government. I know what you’re saying there are no laws that currently say we have to speak only in a politically correct manner. That is true, but you and I are being forced to abide to this ideological rule by those in the media and in government who see this as a means to control social and civil activity.

By their using politically correct narratives any verbally contested resistance is justified in reaping a virtual demagoguing by political pundits and media egotist. So in truth they have incorrectly abolished our first amendment right. And any respect for such rights has clearly been selfishly redeemed solely by a media who purposely replaced it with a demeanor that spites everyone who dares to speak differently. Though this political correctness came about because politicians wanted to control the political narrative concerning their opponents, it was immediately seen by the media to be a substantial platform to control a nations social mannerisms.

So how can we render respect once again for ourselves and our neighbors? It can only come about by us having a common sense narrative that says yes we have a right to say what we want even if we don’t agree on all terms while still respecting the right of the other to say it. The sooner we tell the media we are no longer going to abide by their socialist rule of political correctness the sooner we begin to bring respect back to a nation built on the freedom and right to speak what we want. NOT WHAT THEY WANT!
