On Saturday, an enraged student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gave a fiery speech, and at its conclusion threw up a salute that ignited a firestorm on social media.
We’re constantly reminded that murder is a disgusting thing, and the latest shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School should remind us that there are people who choose to use guns to accomplish murderous actions. I think the ‘March For Our Lives’ rallies has some genuine issues to make known to the American people concerning our present gun laws and the ability for certain individuals to acquire access to guns that they shouldn’t have. However, the manner in which they’re going about this is highly reminiscent of the days of segregation, not for any racial intent but an ideological one.
It’s true that guns kill people, but it’s not the gun that does the plotting or planning of when and at whom it will be used. It’s solely the responsibility of the person that has chosen it as a means of fulfilling their murderous intent that’s at fault. Taking aim at one organization and making them be the perpetrators of all gun violence isn’t going to make this situation better. And declaring that a revolution is emanated is only going to set the stage for what could lead to exactly what they say they are protesting against.
Since many in the nation know the real leaders of this movement aren’t the students, but the media who have abusively appointed them to be the face of this latest activism intent on bolstering the liberal’s political position using them as a social platform for launching Democrats into the midterm elections. The words spoken by David Hogg were clearly fitted with specific narratives that the media often uses to disenfranchise certain groups for political agendas. This is simply an affirmation of hate and genuine unacceptability the left has for the current Republican administrations’ presence of power.
In singling out Marco Rubio as if he was the sole proponent or recipient of donations rendered by the NRA is alone a signal that this isn’t about gun violence in schools anymore, it becomes way more political than that. Though David Hogg taunts the media narrative that it isn’t about Democrat or Republican, about America will not be seen as relevant as he makes it simply because he no longer appears as a spokesman for the students, but an advocate of liberalism and hate.
Here is the main issue I want to bring out, these young people have a voice to be heard and by all rights, it should be since it’s their lives that have significance at the moment. But the media has purposely saddled them up so they can ride them as advocacy for the leftist ideology they continue to propagate. So this gun violence issue, which is real, isn’t the big picture for them, they want to be seen as the only ones really helping these young people find satisfaction for their fears while in truth they are actively abusing them in order to further the Democrats opportunities in November.
The deaths of seventeen young people in February this year won’t go away as quickly as the deaths of those slaughtered in Vegas in October 2017, just four and a half months earlier where 58 people died an 851 were injured. The irony here is that the hypocritical media has been silent on that event because it wouldn’t further any political agenda for the Democrats. But Parkland, well that was a perfect fit for an emotional rouse of the nation and the younger generation of those who haven’t been taught what the cost of their freedom really is.
The fist raised in anger by young mister Hogg only goes to signify that whether it be the media or the ill-educated and liberally indoctrinated younger generation he is part of, there is no sense as to how to act in getting what you want. This is seen in verbal appeals present in these marches that have a lot of emotional bigotry being forwarded by the media clones who are intent on abusing the voices these young people have.
