Faith is the key to manifesting things from an unseen realm or dimension, regardless of whether it involves throwing mulberry trees into the sea, moving mountains, healing, or even walking on water. Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Another way to put this is that faith can do anything God says He will do by His power and authority. Your knowledge and understanding of this truth are the primary means by which you penetrate this natural realm with supernatural events. So, faith without mediocrity must associate God’s work through the Holy Spirit with knowledge and understanding of His intent and concern for it, as revealed by the Word.
Math 9:27-30 And when Jesus went on from there, two blind men came after him, crying out, Have mercy on us, you Son of David. 28 And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, Have you faith that I am able to do this? They said to him, Yes, Lord. 29 Then he put his hand on their eyes, saying, As your faith is, let it be done to you. 30 And their eyes were made open. And Jesus said to them sharply, Let no man have knowledge of it.
Jesus asked these blind men, “Is your faith able to receive my ability?” They said yes. I know it’s different from what’s written, but I’m paraphrasing; it’s basically what He meant. Jesus had the ability, and they had the faith to move Him to do it. Scripture shows how He used faith to serve the Father while here in the flesh, and the same is true for us: faith equips us to do what we can’t do naturally.
Here is something important: Faith serves you according to what you believe; in other words, your faith is built on what you receive as true, so it can do so. Mediocre faith will not serve you or Him even in the least significant ways, as doubt is still a basic component. Therefore, the essential element in one’s transformation is to know it’s for a spiritual purpose, not for you to do as you will, but as He will, bringing light into the darkness of this world. Believers must grasp the truths in God’s word to transform, so that, by faith, they operate as His offspring through the authority He proclaimed as dominion.
The Apostle Paul revealed to Israel God’s work in His creation for the Jewish nation’s later spiritual transformation. Rom 11:17-24 (MSG) Some of the tree’s branches were pruned and you wild olive shoots were grafted in. Yet the fact that you are now fed by that rich and holy root 18 gives you no cause to crow over the pruned branches. Remember, you aren’t feeding the root; the root is feeding you. Gentiles were not prophetically part of Christ’s original Church body or family of God. He began through a covenant with Abraham, and then Jewish Israel, whom He had prophetically promised would receive the foundational principles of who He is and reveal the Father, the I AM, to them.
Paul states that these branches he calls a wild olive tree – they are Gentiles – who were willing to be of nature and purpose as the Church, or let’s say become part of the family, so they, by faith in Christ, were placed in a position to be grafted into this recently pruned olive tree that is His spiritual family Israel. He pruned Israel in its spiritual purpose, which is not the Church, and grafted in those He called Gentiles, not born of Israel, but born again by faith in Christ.
The result was a remnant of Jews, Gentiles, and everyone now receiving the supernatural promises He originally made to Israel. 19 It’s certainly possible to say, “Other branches were pruned so that I could be grafted in!” 20a Well and good. But they were pruned because they were deadwood, no longer connected by belief and commitment to the root. That root for Israel was the covenant God has with Abraham; in other words, they were no longer fulfilling the covenant they are still established in. However, the root for the church was Christ, and Him crucified.
Israel had been blinded by God concerning the truth and Christ, setting them aside for a season until, at the end of the tribulation, they would be saved. Rom 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Today’s believers need to know who they are: though not born of Israel, they are believers who, by faith, willingly received the truths Paul and others revealed through the work of the Holy Spirit, which were intended to transform a remnant of Israel into His spiritual offspring.
His will is for the present Church on earth. Thus, unbelieving Israel lost out on the work to be fulfilled by those blessings through Jesus Christ as the head of His Church, not because they didn’t believe in Christ, but because they were blinded to its purpose, yet remain in covenant with God. Unbelief is the reverse aspect of faith. It is often called doubt, which, as we see, is a spiritual state contrary to the status of the root that provides the spiritual SAP.
Rom 11:20b (MSG) The only reason you’re on the tree is because your graft “took” when you believed, and because you’re connected to that belief-nurturing root. So don’t get cocky and strut your branch. Be humbly mindful of the root that keeps you lithe and green. The root is Jesus Christ, a Jew, and the Son of God, the anointed Messiah. The Holy Spirit pruned Jewish Israel so this spiritual SAP (Christ) could nurture and transform new branches (Gentiles) grafted in by faith in Christ.
Here is a revelation: These new Gentile branches cannot change the family tree’s spiritual purpose nor change the nature of the SAP flowing through it, contrary to what many of today’s denominations and religious sects believe. Christ, the Word that became flesh, is still the same as before Israel, who were the natural branches of God’s family that were pruned, and the Gentiles becoming Christ’s Church.
21 If God didn’t think twice about taking pruning shears to the natural branches, why would he hesitate over you? He wouldn’t give it a second thought. The day is coming when the Spirit of God will apply a judgment to all ministerial works appearing on earth, and the result will be those who align with Him, those who repent and then align with Him, and those who refuse to align with Him. The latter are those who decide to malign or maliciously rebuke Him, blasphemy as is recorded.
Every believer has the same spiritual root, which is Christ, so that, by divine nature, they are the same as the SAP. This is very important for faith; this tree, in this case, the body of Christ, His Church, reveals the kingdom of God and fulfills His will. Unbelief stops the flow of truth and leaves branches without the SAP – spiritually dead, or we can say, untransformed. Therefore, pulpits with no Spirit of God and truth from the Word believe they are more correct than God; rather, they are in unbelief. 23 And don’t get to feeling superior to those pruned branches down on the ground. If they don’t persist in remaining deadwood, they could very well get grafted back in. God can do that. He can perform miracle grafts.
Everything written here is to provoke you to see God’s eternal purpose for all who are associated with the truth, revealing Christ’s interaction with you by the Holy Spirit. So know this: Anyone born of Israel who accepts Jesus as the Christ receives the same spiritual transformation work by the Holy Spirit, where all receive the same foundational truths by faith. 24 Why, if he could graft you—branches cut from a tree out in the wild—into an orchard tree, he certainly isn’t going to have any trouble grafting branches back into the tree they grew from in the first place. Just be glad you’re in the tree, and hope for the best for the others.
With respect to Israel and the end of this age, God will save her, and though her purpose going forward and that of those who are today’s Church may be different, in the end we all come to the same eternal blessing. Rom 11:26-27 (MSG) Before it’s all over, there will be a complete Israel. As it is written, A champion will stride down from the mountain of Zion; he’ll clean house in Jacob. 27 And this is my commitment to my people: removal of their sins. Everything will play out as God has spoken, and those believers who desire to remain abstinent of the truth will soon be, by the Holy Spirit, brought to choose whether they will, by faith, be connected to the family by the root and the SAP He provides.
Mal 3:6 (AMP) “For I am the LORD, I do not change [but remain faithful to My covenant with you]; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, have not come to an end. God does not change; therefore, what He proposed to occur before the foundations of this earth by faith is still intended for the same results. And He will bring it all together in the closing days of the Church age, but for now, believers must be about becoming what He says they are: His family through a covenant Christ established by His shed blood, with God His Father.
