Your Marriage, Blessings, Dominion, and Authority are all in Christ Jesus.

If you are a believer in Christ, you should know that, as an offspring of the God you call Abba Father, you have dominion and spiritual authority on this earth to reveal His will and the glory of Jesus Christ. The body of Christ and its kingdom culture reveal the Father’s intent and concern through the Holy Spirit’s presence. Thus, you are to reveal your heavenly Father as Jesus revealed Him in the flesh. That said, as His children, let the Holy Spirit show you how to access the spiritual blessings established in Christ before the foundations of the earth were created. Eph 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Jesus paid the price for these blessings, so we can do nothing to earn them; they are freely given to anyone who, by faith, receives Him and the principles that govern them. Avoiding the spirit of mediocrity is important today, as it appears in many congregations, and God’s will for all believers on this earth requires that believers be free of it. Yet you must also know this: as sons and daughters, you have a spiritual heritage in Christ that entitles you to live according to the Spirit of God. Rom 8:12-14 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors–not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Two extreme views exist about what he says in those verses. One says that, religiously, this means sacrificing all worldly things and living as a pious, stoic spiritual person. Another says to reject it and live as you want because you see it as being a slave to God’s Spirit. Being led by the Spirit does not mean you follow Him as if He is leading you somewhere, but rather that, through an anointing, He leads you to apply God’s principles and obey what He reveals, which is common to all believers. The Greek word (ago), translated as ” led, means to lead you to do whatever He needs you to do; simply, it means you doing what the word says as your ministerial duty. Spiritually, it’s more like being led to do God’s will in matters He intends and cares about, including ministry, and knowing it is all by the one abiding in you – the Spirit of God.

I want to address an issue early in this that many overlook, which could lead someone into a blasphemous position against the Holy Spirit. Mark 3:28-29 (AMP) Truly and solemnly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever abusive and blasphemous things they utter; 29 But whoever speaks abusively against or maliciously misrepresents the Holy Spirit can never get forgiveness, but is guilty of and is in the grasp of an everlasting trespass. To put this in perspective, Jesus addresses maliciously misrepresenting the Holy Spirit through what you say about Him, something He says has eternal implications. Here Jesus was talking about scribes who called the one at work in and through Him “Beelzebub,” the prince of devils, and, since the Holy Spirit was the one that, by an anointing working in Him, those scribes, in a sense, were saying that Jesus had the spirit of Satan, the devil, and by that Spirit was casting out his own devils!

So, a malicious accusation against the Holy Spirit occurred by those Scribes who were so fearful of the power that worked in and through Jesus that they believed it was the devil himself throwing out his own minions. Mark 3:22-23 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. 23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? Keep in mind, they were not calling Jesus Beelzebub, but the one working in Him, the Holy Spirit, by the anointing that came at His baptism in the Jordan River (John 1:31-34).

In light of these scriptures, these scribes must give an account of what they said, a judgment they had no forgiveness for, when they appear before Christ’s throne. This is because they maliciously maligned not just God’s power at work, but the one doing it: the Holy Spirit. He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. They were unwilling to accept who Jesus was, and maybe they were ignorant of the Holy Spirit and what He does, but they fully knew the Spirit of God would be at work in the Messiah (Isa 61:1-3).

So, calling the work of the Holy Spirit Satanic, or outlining Him as the prince of the devils, Satan, because they were not born again, and because the religious leaders of Jesus’s day lacked faith in God’s power, places this among spiritual matters. This matters for all believers because the Spirit of God in the churches of the body of Christ today seems less vital in ministry efforts; ignorance of His purpose and of His coming to fulfill what Jesus said about Him often occurs. His presence in and with every believer is God’s earnest guarantee of an eternal investment through Jesus Christ, His Son. Eph 1:13-14 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

This also reveals that, by Jesus’ power and authority, faith in the gospel of Christ secures an inheritance. God loves humanity and sees it as worth the price Jesus paid to redeem all from the law of sin and death. His word confirms this blessing through Jesus Christ’s birth, life, death, and resurrection, so we, as believers, must see ourselves as joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Rom 8:16-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Some never see themselves as heirs because they don’t know or understand who they are. Such ignorance only compounds the fact that they believe in Jesus as the Son of God but have no greater spiritual root or perception of who or what a person is as a son or daughter, beyond the term “Christian,” nor how the Holy Spirit is sent to them to operate in and through them, by the same anointing He had upon Jesus (Acts 10:38).

Gen 1:26-28 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Christians, or more precisely, children of God, are the only part of creation now destined to fulfill a dominion status and present His image on earth; however, not all will reveal this as He has ordained.

This lack of understanding is clearly revealed in our divisions of faith, upheld by religious and denominational sectarian doctrines. However, those who know and understand who they are in Christ are not defined by denominational rights, religious rhetoric, or what they’ve done, but by the covenant God made with His Son, prophesied for the earth’s replenishment through only two sexes: male and female. These two sexes are to interact in a way that incorporates both natural and spiritual details, a truth the Holy Spirit reveals to each believer.

These are the only genders God sanctioned for this part of the plan, and no matter how many senseless genders humanity invents, the ultimate blessing on this earth is available only to those two genders who are willing and obedient to His will, as the Holy Spirit leads, through salvation in Christ. The Spirit of God’s witness makes His intent and concern for all creation readily available. Why do I say that only the body of Christ can fulfill this state of dominion? Simply: Those created before the fall of Adam stood right with God, without an account of sin, and only those born again by faith in Jesus Christ are today without an account of sin.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. A question that should arise, but hardly ever does, is why this aspect of gender (male and female) is not proclaimed from pulpits as God’s ultimate blessing of His creation. If they do not fulfill their part in God’s plan to bless spiritual offspring on earth, who will? No one outside the Holy Spirit and any angelic host is here to do God’s will except these two genetic makeups, as outlined in all Scripture.

Now know that neither is above the other in terms of dominion; both have equal rights as His sons and daughters, and both are positioned in His theocratic hierarchy. However, if a marriage is in place by covenant, an added state of authority applies because God has ordained and accepted the union under His authority. Eph 5:21-23 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. In both cases, a wife’s submission to her husband and to Christ, headship is a spiritual position ordained by God.

Any wife who understands its purpose submits to the truth of the word by her obedience. Many pulpits view this dominion statute as dominance rather than a post in God’s hierarchical authority; such a stature is built on doctrines that men incorporated with religious elements. The male, or husband, holds an ordained position by a righteous statute in Jesus, who, led by the Holy Spirit, fulfills a position of authority. That authority is meant to be God’s entry point into that covenant through a theocratic position held by the one with the most rightful position, God.

In other words, in God’s covenants, He has ordained a person through whom His authority flows into it by the Spirit of God. Noah, Abraham, David, Moses, Joshua, and others were all appointed as the ones through whom His authority entered the covenants God made with them and with Israel. Now do not let your reasoning confound the truth concerning this. All were part of these covenants when they were fulfilled and had access to everything a covenant represented, but when God’s authority and power were to appear because of the covenant He had made, or when His counsel was to take place, it came only through the one with whom He established it.

He confirmed this as He spoke to them, even though all were recipients of His work. Since the marriage of believers incorporates a husband and a wife who are each covenanted with God through Christ, the point at which God’s authority enters the covenant of marriage is through the husband, and the wife has equal access to that authority as she submits to Christ as the head of her covenant in Him, as she submits to her husband’s ordained post as the head by God.

Evidence concerning believers and who they are in Christ runs throughout Scripture, hidden in the truth the Holy Spirit reveals. John 3:2 (AMP) But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are—wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him]. God’s promises of blessing come from a spiritual kingdom, so we must learn to manifest every portion by faith in His ability, not our own. This is a significant part of the blessings, whether by local churches or by an individual.

He put it all in place, so blessings come through His offspring into this earth, forming His image. Therefore, individuals and events must align with the Father’s will, done as He proposed. Luke 12:31-34 (GW) Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. 32 Don’t be afraid of missing out. You’re my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself. In marriage unions of believers, His authority is present through another covenant, requiring the application of headship as we just saw. He provides all things for His will to be done, so that procreation and spiritual growth of those He calls His offspring are as expected.

So, spiritual authority is at work, and a path must flow through it to maintain its associated power. As seen with those who hold a spot in the five-fold ministries. Notice that in this dominion, the power rests upon neither God, Jesus, nor the Holy Spirit, but is declared only to these males and females He creates, since He said, “Let them have dominion, ” referring to the males and females of humanity’s creation. Before Adam fell, this was the plan for all humanity, so after Adam’s fall, a believer’s work is to bring these blessings into this earth as they become spiritually mature and operate by faith in Christ’s authority and power. Therefore, it would be best for you to put yourself aside and think about dominion not as you wielding power and authority beyond your own understanding.

This authority is not to rule over anyone, as no one has the right to do so, not even God; authority and power here are directed toward blessings aligned with an eternal promise for all His creation. If God’s kingdom abides in believers, then understand that all spiritual evidence of it is found only in them, because it is a kingdom without a physical presence apart from them.
