ARE BELIEVERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TRUTH?

Everyone will face life issues related to their social status that affect their families in the current era. But for the believer, everything is to be focused on the truths of the word of God. Eph 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: and were established in Christ before the foundations began. This is why those who believe in Christ perceive their God-purposed eternal life as originating in Him from the beginning.

As I said before, God is into life, not death, and He has chosen that those who do according to His purpose will have life abundantly. Nothing in this world has authority and power over us unless we choose to surrender to the enemy who rules in it. Therefore, Jesus said that we might have peace in this world. John 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We have now arrived at a core issue regarding marriage today, which is that most believers choose to live contrary to such truths. And unfortunately, for them, it reveals they are just being spiritually stupid. Prov 12:1(NKJV)Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid. Now, do not get all wound up. I said this to get your attention because I like you, and many others, who have allowed the enemy to lead us into doing stupid things time and again. And just like many others in the knowledge of the truth regarding marriage, we continue to choose to do differently than what the scripture tells us.

The question is whether the word translated “correction” in the previous scripture is the Hebrew word (towkechah), which means to apply chastening, correction, reasoning, rebuke, or reproof, all of which have applications based on the word. Therefore, those in Christ have only one standard for their lives, individually and corporately. That is the word of God as revealed solely by the Holy Spirit. Prov 30:5(GW) “Every word of God has proven to be true. He is a shield to those who come to him for protection.

We must learn God’s principles outlined in His word. Then, we can incorporate spiritual standards established as a right of heritage for covenant life and uphold and apply them. I said before that our children and we are the spiritual lineages of God. And He is expecting those of us who are the parents of children to take responsibility and become spiritual leaders to them. Thus, in learning this, we need to look to Israel to see God’s idea of responsibility and the activities He held them accountable for as part of spiritual leadership.

The tribe of Levites was chosen and made responsible for revealing all things Judaic to Israel, beginning with the tabernacle and the Holy of Holies, a place for God’s manifested glory.  Num 3:14-17 (NKJV) Then the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying: 15 “Number the children of Levi by their fathers’ houses, by their families; you shall number every male from a month old and above.” 16 So Moses numbered them according to the word of the Lord, as he was commanded. 17 These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Notice God said to Moses, take a census of the Leviticus families and define how many males were in each tribe. Why?

Because God will reveal the family heritages and assign a spiritual purpose, He already declared through Christ. This heritage and purpose of God’s lineage come through marriage covenants and are something we need to take notice of today. The three sons of Levi and their family tribes were assigned specific ministerial duties for Israel’s well-being, and each was held accountable for performing them in a certain way. The Kohath, Gershonites, and Merari were assigned by God, not Israel, to camp in specific locations outside the tabernacle and held responsible for particular articles associated with setting up, taking down, and transporting the tabernacle. Therefore, he made them responsible for the artifacts and their ministerial aspects in the processes that would occur by God’s Spirit.

I know some of you are asking What does all this have to do with us today? If God had a purpose then regarding Leviticus family heritage, He surely has a purpose for us as the heritage and lineage of who He calls a Holy and Royal Priesthood. We are a chosen generation to enact a presence as a peculiar people showing praise for our God. 1 Peter 2:9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Humanity’s chosen to reveal God’s image and likeness through a glorified presence as the Church, all in a covenant with God through Christ as a righteous family. A family not living here and acting just like every other family that is influenced by the systems of this world.

Num 3:38-39 (NKJV) Moreover those who were to camp before the tabernacle on the east, before the tabernacle of meeting, were Moses, Aaron, and his sons, keeping charge of the sanctuary, to meet the needs of the children of Israel; but the outsider who came near was to be put to death. 39All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the Lord, by their families, all the males from a month old and above, were twenty-two thousand.

Moses, Aaron, and his three sons were to camp on the East side of the tabernacle and were to keep the charge of the sanctuary to meet the spiritual needs of Israel. The Levitical lineages anointed to be the spiritual leaders as a Priesthood were to reveal the truth to Israel. And as spiritual leaders, they were to ensure Israel was continually nurtured in a way that maintained a consciousness of the God Jehovah, their creator, in their mind and heart (soul).

Notice that God chose where and how these specific families were responsible for the ministerial functions of the tabernacle and the Jewish feasts and festivals. Everything was essential to the Spirit of God for nurturing the present nature of Israel. All the other tribes camped outside this inner guardianship, maintained by Aaron’s anointing and the Levitical families. We need to know that, in regard to our marriage and families, just as Israel celebrated feasts and festivals with offerings and worship before God, it was all done under the Holy Spirit’s leadership.

I am not talking about any of the religious customs and traditions later adopted by the leaders, but about specific Jewish events designed to spiritually nurture the consciousness of Israel. Therefore, the Church’s peculiar presence must continue today for the overall well-being of our souls and the souls of our children. So that a spiritual consciousness remains as instructed by the Holy Spirit. Parents in a relationship with the Lord have varied responsibilities; some are natural, and others are spiritual, but there is a time coming when all of us will have to give an account of how we did. Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Most of us have no problem being accountable for our actions. But when it comes to the spiritual things of God, we often take a passive role, mainly because we either find them difficult or lack knowledge of their purpose. In the beginning, Moses and Aaron accepted God at His word, but there came a time when they chose to do it stupidly. Num 20:1-12 tells a story about a time when Israel was in the desert of Zin and complaining that there was not enough water to drink. They blamed Moses and Aaron for it and for everything that had happened to them since they brought them out of Egypt.

Moses and Aaron ran into the tabernacle and fell on their faces before the glory of God. And He spoke to Moses and instructed him on how to handle this situation. He said to take the rod I gave you and then gather Israel so they can see what I am going to do, and you, Moses, speak to a rock, and the water will flow out of it. But Moses, frustrated over the attitudes toward him and Aaron, cursed the people for forcing him to do this, so instead of speaking to the rock, he hit it three times with his rod, and water flowed out. But that is not the end of the story.

Those responsible for spiritual nurturing have an accountable directive from God. Moses’s actions in this incident forced God to act against His will. Seen in the way He held Moses and Aaron responsible and caused them to miss out on an already promised blessing. As in this case, they were the spiritual leaders who were denied entrance into the very land they prophetically delivered Israel to, Canaan. Does this mean Moses’s and Aaron’s Priesthood diminished? No, the things they did due to trusting God at His word were accounted to them just as God said. It reveals His word for the instruction of what is to be at work in this Church age is for every believer, marriage, and family, as all are a part of it.

We are to take hold of the responsibility He has given us to ensure that the truth of all of this is known through testimony and witnesses founded in the covenants we have both in Christ and marriage, and from pulpits that are to nurture us with truths. Those who married and received Christ as Lord and Savior have taken God at His word and are now in a more significant position of responsibility. Rom 1:17(AMP) For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith].

We must nurture the covenants of life we have through faith because they are anointed and have been made just and upright before God. But, unfortunately, the enemy is duly committed to keeping us ignorant and stupid spiritually, especially regarding the well-being of those covenants. However, suppose we hold pulpits responsible for applying the things God has revealed of His nature through us. In that case, through a life-changing covenant, they are to influence every aspect of our created being, spirit, soul, and body. Fundamentally affecting our covenant in Christ and marriage in a way that will fulfill His eternal plan.

Sine, in the end, we shall live forever!
