In the book of Psalms, there is an outline of those He calls gods and refers to them as His offspring. Ps 82:1-5 (ASV) God standeth in the congregation of God; He judgeth among the gods. He says He stands in this congregation and judges among these gods who are present with Him. 2 How long will ye judge unjustly, And respect the persons of the wicked? Selah.
He also says how long will you accept the wickedness from those workers, indicating that evil should be judged but is not taking place as He expects. Sounding very much like today, where no one, especially the Church, wants to call out or rightly judge any evil or wickedness at work on the earth.
3 Judge the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. 4 Rescue the poor and needy: Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. These gods are to discern regarding the poor and fatherless rightly, do justice in all things to them, and rescue or deliver them from the hand of the wicked one. Is not this the ultimate work of believers to take care of the poor, widows, and orphans?
5 They know not, neither do they understand; They walk to and fro in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are shaken. Those ignorant gods, by His testimony, are without knowing and understanding. As a result, they walk about in darkness, shaking the very foundations of the earth, causing them to become unstable.
Such things have been revealed for a reason, and it is to show the plans He laid out for us from the beginning that are still present for dominion by willing participants. As we look more closely at scripture, we see what He intended in the beginning to occur is through His offspring.
Let me take a side step to show you what scripture says about this earth in its creation.
Isa 45:18 (NKJV) For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.
The word translated “established” is (kun) and has a spiritual context; its meaning is like erecting a house and attaching the roof in a way all necessary parts are in specific order laid out by a perfectly designed plan. God set spiritual laws in place to govern and enforce all powers at work here, for maintaining the stability of the earth’s core and all its atomic structure. If such laws were not in place, all things would press out by a natural power from where they abide.
Scientific facts affirm that magnetic forces around the earth help keep it and everything upon it stable. However, everything is subject to spiritual laws by God’s authority, and the fact these small gods are not doing as He decrees upsets this cosmic balance.
God never intends to destroy creation, and though He sent a flood on the earth early because of evil, we are still here by the faith of Noah and others. Christ came to earth to remove any judgment of our sins. Rom 5:15 (AMP) But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.
The powers presented by God’s prophetic word still affect this earth, and any blessings from it are an ongoing work of His plans for us. Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Now let us go back to Ps 82:6-8 (ASV) I said, Ye are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High. 7 Nevertheless ye shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes. 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; For thou shalt inherit all the nations. Well, who is the Most High?
If you have accepted Jesus as Lord, you know it is God who holds the highest position in the universe, and He describes these little gods as His offspring. This decree of what they will receive for not doing as expected unfolds two deaths humanity is subject to, the loss of one’s life or physical death, and as scripture points out, an eternal existence that appears with God or without Him at the end of fleshly life.
For humanity, death occurs both physically and spiritually, but eternal separation from God is spiritual death, a status we are in when born into the earth because of Adam’s treason.
However, how does this falling like one of the princes apply to a believer? We know Lucifer was an angelic prince or a heralding cherub who served at the throne among the heavens in the presence of God. Therefore, he held a top-tiered position in God’s hierarchy at least until pride overtook him and led him to defy God.
All of it is familiar with everything we know of Adam’s fall and God passing the earth over to a curse surrendering Adam’s sovereignty and position of hierarchy for all humanity under it. As I said, the grace of God is for all who receive Jesus Christ to be free from the curse of death, hell, and the grave positioned to exert this dominion upon the earth in this day and hour.
God says they are, in His words, gods. However, he is not referring to them as Gods-with a big G, but gods or sovereign ones or, more precisely, His subordinate offspring who uphold His kingdom hierarchy. Ps 8:4-9 (GW) what is a mortal that you remember him or the Son of Man that you take care of him? 5 You have made him a little lower than yourself. You have crowned him with glory and honor. 6 You have made him rule what your hands created. You have put everything under his control: 7 all the sheep and cattle, the wild animals, 8 the birds, the fish, whatever swims in the currents of the seas.
God created humanity to have dominion over all things present except for itself through a sovereign power linked by spiritual connection with Him. The word translates God from the Hebrew Elohim, which is typically never seen in terms of Deity, but is in a general sense the word used meaning “mighty” or “mighty ones.”
In other words, to be linked to God in Christ means we are, Spiritually Subordinate Offspring” who exercise a lawful dominion over all creation apart from humanity itself by a hierarchical presence decreed in the beginning.
As mentioned here, God’s spiritual lineage is to deliver blessings to the poor and needy, rescue the afflicted, and battle against the evils of an enemy called the devil and his minions. Thus, a statute He decreed is to occur not by those who sanction evil upon creation but those who sanction righteousness.
Restoring Dominion
Gen 1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female created He them.
God created humanity in His own image. His character is to be seen in our nature and essence, revealed in both male and female sexes. Revelation truth is for every person born, not made to be an exact duplicate or clone of anyone, not even their parents. However, by an ordained replenishment, subordinate hierarchy is sworn to reveal an image of the God who decrees their dominion on earth.
Many deny there is a divine work in the way humanity is made for existence on earth, but the truth is we are created for God’s purpose only.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that crepes upon the earth.
He says, let us make them (male and female) patterned (spiritually) after us, to occupy the earth by dominion over all life except for others in humanity. Let us break this down: What is this image, and why do we need to be in the likeness of God? It is His divine nature as revealed in His character, or we could say the very nature and essence of God seen in what He chooses to reveal Himself to us.
John 4:24 (AMP) God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality). God is a spirit, an unseen form or presence not bound by any natural state or form. And yet we can see His nature and essence shown to us in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom with righteousness revealing the principles which He governs himself.
Humanity needs to know of His expressed nature written in the word by Godly attributes of Agape love relevant to why we love and desire Him. Based on what He chose to reveal of himself which is not only His omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient essence. But a creator God who is awesome, magnificent, and all-powerful, ever strong, and everlasting, and most importantly ever-loving.
Since humanity is pro-creatively born spirit, soul, and body, it is the living essence of God (spirit) currently occupying a body and having a soul. 1 Thess 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our existence on earth was never meant to be related to this evil world but to the God who created us as His own, who made it a place for hierarchical habitation and dominion.
A person’s spirit is made alive, or we could say they reconnected to the essence they originally came from and are seen as born again when they accept the Lord Jesus Christ as savior. This transformation brings about what we call a new birth that every child of God goes through as they begin in His salvation.
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
God is subject to His spiritual laws and no other. This level of submissiveness means all His offspring are also to be subordinate to the same laws by faith in Jesus Christ. You might ask Why? Because they hold a hierarchical position within God’s spiritual governmental structure based on His theocratic lineage that at its root hates evil.
Ps 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. God’s decree that we love Him as Lord and savior and hate all evil is paramount to our own preservation of soul and eternal life. Prov 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
It is time humanity understands who it was created to be and the revealing factor in this is the Church, the body of believers who know who they are and what they are to do while still present here. In these latter days, God is going to open the heavens and pour out His Spirit upon ALL flesh and none will be without experiencing His affectionate love.
