Among believers in the body of Christ, does each person’s spiritual well-being count regarding the well-being of the whole Church, or let us say, even the marriages within it? From Christ’s death to the present, humanity requires a born-again process from a seed with eternal ramifications, becoming God’s offspring; as revealed in scripture, this seed is the incorruptible word of God, which produces living spirits through His supernatural processes. And once it happens, God’s DNA characteristic requires a spiritual maturing process. 1 Pet 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
So, if such a process produces believers in Christ who are no longer dead spirits as when they were naturally born, how can you leave out the seed that contains the element of power that produced them in the first place? To ensure spiritual health, one must nurture it with the truth critical to faith growth. Therefore, the Holy Spirit reveals the difference between this dominion and the prevailing dominance. Pulpits must provide the truth as spiritual nutrients that promote healthy growth, two factors many churches continually dismiss today.
John 16:13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Everything that nurtures a believer’s maturity and spiritual stability is within the confines of that truth, but knowing it comes from a relationship with the Holy Spirit, established in right standing with the Lord Jesus Christ, means that mediocre faith cannot be associated with such a status.
Mal 2:15 (MSG)GOD, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the smallest details of marriage. And what does he want from marriage? Children of God, that’s what. So guard the spirit of marriage within you. Don’t cheat on your spouse. This verse testifies to the need for spiritual maturity. To begin with, it states the purpose of marriage: based on the time God determined for an eternal plan to be implemented, it is understood as a union of dominance by the Spirit of God to replenish the earth and produce His spiritual offspring. Notice: He says to guard the (spirit of marriage) within you. Males and females are a means by which the Spirit of God brings forth Godly offspring. Like other spiritual matters, it involves the Holy Spirit’s underlying supernatural work.
This is not just a maturing of the spouses but the maturing of a covenant for His spiritual offspring, so that all are established in the same truths of the family of God. Most believers do not understand this, as they are too willing to live their lives and send their children into the world to be nurtured by the evil within it. Therefore, spiritual immaturity in one or both spouses can lead to mediocre faith, which in turn affects the family’s overall faith.
Another aspect of marriage was mentioned in that verse. The Spirit of God, or Holy Spirit, inhabits even the smallest or most minor marriage details. This would indicate that, no matter what the issue in the marriage, the Holy Spirit is available to do as the Father wills. This includes the sexual activity between the husband and wife as well. It is surprising how much the believer can learn from Scripture about living a righteous daily life, as seen in the following verse, which brings the peace of God, resting in who they are in Christ. 1 John 3:7 (AMP) Boys (lads), let no one deceive and lead you astray. He who practices righteousness [who is upright, conforming to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, living a consistently conscientious life] is righteous, even as He is righteous.
Believers must not allow themselves to be led by doctrines built on religious dominance that keep them ignorant of the truth needed to live as believers in the world. Your faith in the Son of God relies on His power and authority that can only operate through a spiritual maturity that comes from knowing it has been revealed to you by the Holy Spirit. Evil decrees a level of spiritual stupidity and ignorance, so you will not operate at the dominion level God planned initially. Pro 12:1 (AMP) Whoever loves instruction and discipline loves knowledge, But he who hates reproof and correction is stupid.
Many of today’s pulpits view the offices of Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, Apostles, and Prophets as authoritative, with only these offices considered spiritually mature. However, the truth is that they are to work to mature the gifts they operate in God’s offspring, which confirms that He expects all to mature spiritually as a natural process. Eph 4:13-14(NKJV) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.
Now, you may be asking what your spiritual maturity has to do with mediocre faith, or an order of dominance, and the dominion I mentioned earlier. Let’s compare what we have already seen to our natural growth process. Every male and female born on the earth has a growth process genetically encoded in their DNA. This process affects physical, mental, and emotional growth, ensuring that individual maturity is reached as part of the humanity He created. But what about the spirit?
The truth is that once it is made alive again, it requires someone who is already mature to nurture it with the nutrients it needs; as mentioned earlier, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, reveals those nutrients from the word to believers. Religious doctrines are sustained by a realm of spiritual dominance and a yoke of authority that prevails through mediocre faith in texts deemed true, regardless of whether they are. Thus, a believer’s spiritual maturity is the platform on which the Holy Spirit reveals works from such truth, but if mediocrity is present, then dominance, not dominion, is the platform of faith.
John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Another aspect of spiritual maturity is that believers are not to be spiritual orphans without parental or legal guardianship, who are responsible for their spiritual well-being. God is not an irresponsible parent. The word “comfortless” or (orphanos) in the preceding verse means one who is an orphan or someone Jesus says believers will not be. So, if His siblings are struggling in a world under the spiritual influence of their evil enemy, this gives us something to consider.
Let us suppose that today’s denominational church doctrines represent all the truth that the Holy Spirit has for the body of Christ? And yet, many who are a part of them do not know who they are as children of God. I’m not trying to make anyone feel bad; instead, I’m trying to get you to reflect on this: Many of God’s children are immature in their faith and lack spiritual knowledge. Why? They lack even the most fundamental truths concerning who they are in Christ. Therefore, it is possible that doctrines for denominational prowess, bylaws, and the religious narratives derived from them can’t do what the Word and the Spirit can!
The Holy Spirit will only fulfill God’s will, not that of denominations or religious organizations, and any truth He reveals is intentional, as the Father has determined. Thus, nothing will be held out concerning fulfilling God’s will for you, me, or anyone in Christ. Math 16:15-17 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.)What Peter said was a revelation from the Spirit of God. That truth is now uncovered, or, as many say, unveiled to us. A believer’s faith in Christ is constituted by truth continually, so moving away from that old carnal nature and incorporating a new and spiritually mature one depends on Him.
1 Cor. 13:11-12(AMP) When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside. Paul says we naturally grow from childhood into adulthood. Similarly, we grow spiritually, though some things seem cloudy, dim, or partly revealed in that growth process. 12 For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) (spiritual) reflection [of reality as in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood [by God]. There will come a time when all things become known and understood as clearly and fully as God knows us.
Until then, our spiritual and physical growth is genetically wired into us, so whether male or female, the code that regulates outcomes is like our Father’s. Unfortunately, many do not even understand that this spiritual growth process was placed on hold or, let’s say, entered a dormant state, resulting from sin that became present in Adam and flowed through all of humanity, bringing death, both natural and spiritual. Rom. 5:12(AMP) Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [ no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned. The result of one man has affected humanity’s creation from Adam to Christ. However, God’s DNA cannot die and is in you; it is you, the living essence of spirit coming from Him for an eternal purpose.
Gen 2:7 (AMP) Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. Adam represented humanity and was created to be the first of an eternal lineage, living on earth and in fellowship with God. Sin changed that and brought all to a state represented by death, but through Jesus Christ, He brought salvation and created born-again believers, and made them a living spirit. In doing so, this growth process restarts, so that they grow into who He says they are: His sons and daughters.
1 Pet 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. Believers are born incorruptible and require a life-giving connection to the Holy Spirit to be fully alive through faith in Christ—a faith without mediocrity. As previously stated, humanity is the only part of God’s earthly creations that, by the power of His word, produces natural and spiritual life. We are not only created by the Word but for the Word, which fulfills an earthly, eternal plan. On the other hand, angels are spiritual beings created to live in heaven and on earth. We are designed for a worldly purpose and endowed to live eternally in His presence. And according to scripture, angels are described as ministering spirits for all who come to salvation in Christ Jesus, the Saints. Heb 1:14 (NKJV) Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
All males and females of humanity are created with the ability to become God’s spiritual offspring and dominion rulers over His earthly creation. Ps 8:4-9. This dominion is a spiritual position believers hold in Christ unto the Father above; it is not a free range of power over anyone. And only believers can have such a dominion by faith in Christ, as the Spirit of God can lead no others, but it requires a maturity in spiritual matters that fulfill the will of God.
