via Demi Lovato apologises after Jordan baptism | Christian News on Christian Today

I am an American singer. I was raised Christian and have Jewish ancestors. When I was offered an amazing opportunity to visit the places I’d read about in the Bible growing up, I said yes. There is something absolutely magical about Israel.  I’ve never felt such a sense of spirituality or connection to God…something I’ve been missing for a few years now.  Spirituality is so important to me…to be baptized in the Jordan river – the same place Jesus was baptized – I’ve never felt more renewed in my life. This trip has been so important for my well-being, my heart, and my soul.  I’m grateful for the memories made and the opportunity to be able to fill the God-sized hole in my heart. Thank you for having me, Israel ????

Demi Lovato is but one of many well-known entertainers, media figures, and others who have been caustically criticized of late for doing something that reflects a spiritual favor toward God. Back in June a Catholic Bishop was scourged for stating church members should not support or attend LGBTQ activities seen stated here – [Diocese of Providence Bishop Thomas Tobin sparked a backlash beginning Saturday when he tweeted, “A reminder that Catholics should not support or attend LGBTQ ‘Pride Month’ events held in June. They promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals. They are especially harmful for children.”] Source API.

There are other events that have taken place over the last few years that duly reflect a growing disdain for anyone who expresses their faith in God. And this is precisely what we should be seeing in this day and hour of humanity, as all things are lining up to what Jesus said would be going on as His return gets ever closer to happening.  Mathew 24:3-9 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Now don’t take any ill reference to the fact He said they will kill you, as this currently is not what’s happening here, but it is something that’s going on in many other areas of the world. The purpose of my quote on this is to remind us Christians that today we’re in a season of apostasy that’s lulled many into a spiritual stupor of religious ignorance. Not only to things of God but to many things this world is diligently preparing to do as it stands up for works of sin and evils ahead. Some of which are latently focused upon us simply because we stand for something they fear, and that is the power of God inherent in His word.

Demi Lovato didn’t have a spiritual experience because she went to the Holy land, she had one because God and His word are real and present in places where faith attaches to its power. Her presence in Israel and at the Jordan, river left little doubt she would be there for an encounter. Mathew 24:10 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Those who stated they were offended by it used the issue of Palestine and its occupation of Israel as an excuse to revile her even though it’s unexcused derision is actually between the evil (Palestinian ideals) and good (Israel’s own spiritual heritage), however, it’s reversed in their manner of thinking.

The real problem here is that many Christians are going to accept this indignant manner of hate and distention as if it is their destiny because it is written in the word that it will come in the latter days. But there’s nothing in scripture that says we have to accept it as a life experience, even though it occurs we aren’t under the work of sin or evil, that means we have the power to escape its opportunity. John 16:33 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Jesus didn’t conquer all the works of darkness so you or I could be accepting of them because of the actions of those who deem their inheritance to evil is far greater than ours to righteousness. And you don’t need to apologize for having faith in God, if you do then you are not in tune with the word of God, but wavering as a result of persecutions. Hebrews 10:23 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Those who appear as offended by what you do or say in light of God do so because they aren’t believers in the word of truth but fear its power.

If you call yourself a Christian and have faith that you are one, then you are of a family of believers who have power over all the works of darkness and God has affirmed your adoption in the life you now live here on earth. Ephesians 1:3-7 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

To Demi Lovato and others, I say hold on to your most precious possession of Christ and His salvation, as it is the one truth no one can take away from you and love those who persecute you but love not their persecutions. You have been redeemed from the curse so act like it and have faith that His power will do just as He has said.

    Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
    I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this
    is fantastic blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely
    be back.
