For believers, it should be clear whatever the world is saying it’s not going to be the same as what God says. But you would not know this is true if you based it on what comes out of the mouths of many of them. Surprisingly too many talk like the world talks having conversations littered with the same phrases and innuendos that are blasted out daily by the world’s populace. And don’t forget they must keep an arsenal of colorful metaphors available at all times to unload on any unsuspecting soul that comes sideways into any conversation.
I’ve lost count of the number of conversations I have had with those who call themselves Christians, but use foul language right along with every other word just like you would expect to hear from those who are not saved. When you ask, don’t you think your words should reflect a more Christ-like manner? They say yeah I know I need to watch what I say and be more careful. HUH? The words that come from the world are words purposed to be spoken to promote death. I know you’re trying to figure this statement out, but it’s true, the enemy is not going to be going around speaking good things about God or you. And he will never have any intention of edifying any life with respect to how God has purposed it to be.
So, is everything the world says bad? That would be a NO, but the difficulty for believers is knowing how to discern if there is any good or evil in the what, how, and why of it. One reason the world sees the Church as no different than itself is conversations by those in it and those not are now the same. Most of the time when we talk about what we as God’s children should be saying it revels around ministry aspects meaning that we’re to always speak as if we are preaching or witnessing or testifying to the lost. This is not a true reality of Christian life, Jesus didn’t always go around ministering to everyone He had a conversation with, He engaged them on the level of life they were on, and then told them truths that would elevate them beyond such a life.
Look at what’s happening right now in our own country since we now have very divisive conversations going on daily over who and how things should be here. And the type of language used reveals there’s a void of consciousness to the good and evil present. The media has an agenda that’s built upon shaping populace idealism into what they desire it to be, which is one of a liberal socialistic view. And since they see socialism as the main event within this nation they through a liberal media voice narrate words that are purposed to challenge and defer anything that would oppose it. Another aspect of this is that they take advantage of ignorance that prevails among a high percentage of this country’s populace concerning what socialism is and what it does. Thus, a new era has arisen where so-called social engineers use biased narratives to try and dupe an entire nation into believing any moral or ethical values held in its past are sexually biased and phobic in every manner. The real issue regarding the media’s blitz is there are a great number of Christians who ignorantly believe in and support this social engineering processes.
A small change can create big results; Many of these ongoing conversations being held are in a way historically established, as the fight between good and evil has been around since before the fall of Adam, so we have contentious babbling on a daily basis between the left and the right over untrue values mostly because ideas are being supplanted in the minds and hearts of people to be greatly brandished. One thing that can be seen in this process is that divisive conversation was not such an issue in our past. At least not to the degree it is today, as in the past we could agree to disagree.
So, what’s changed to elevate people’s anxiety and emotions to overtly embrace issues of gender identification, social intolerance, racial indifference, LGBTQ rights, and other things? The answer is they didn’t change the subject matter but added false anxiety to what was to be said and then narrated untruths to justify how it was to be said. The result purposely elevated emotions ignorant of the truth to promote divisive and spiteful opinions for social activism. Something that must be at the forefront of any liberal socialist movement. Socialists know if they can divide a nation over civil and social issues it becomes unstable, and a prime time advocate for a constant promotion of social injustices.
Clearly, just by changing the how and why of issues an indignant mannerism can prevail among us. What typically happens is frustration causes us to extrapolate a speaking that’s filled with emotional anxiety expressed by false expletives to carry out an indignant mannerism and by adding certain untrue narratives an attempt is made to indemnify anger. This results in a manner of conversation that’s not going to resolve any issue due to a character that demeans the other’s stature. In a way it’s another socialist mannerism where one elevates their stature by a demeaning of others to a degree it appears only they’re viewed as the one who’s right.
Such a verbal diatribe is wholly uncharacteristic to God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. As believers, we are to have a manner of conversation or speaking to elevate others. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Eph 4:29-32
I’m sure many of you are saying well that’s not me I don’t talk like that, and I pray that you do not. But evidence shows that too many of God’s children do say the what, how, and why just like many in the world. Then, why all this ill-mannered conversation that only characterizes and creates a perception of life that’s in contrast to how God views it? It’s because the enemy’s deceptive manipulation of the words of men and women is today to the degree that any truth in respect to good and evil is no longer conveyed. Thus we have generations of individuals who are without any consciousness to what life in the light of truth really is, and actively work to destroy it. But if you are born again then you are to be of a manner of character that reveals His image in what you do. Whether it’s having a conversation or in helping others by some means of material, physical or monetary assistance.
I recently had a conversation with someone about how the Democrats are being called anti-Christians because of what they do or say. And the gist of it was focused around the fact that no one can say someone isn’t a Christian just by what they do. This is true, but scripture reveals that when one comes to Christ there’s to be a repentance a change that takes place in the heart leaving them with a conscious knowledge that they are no longer the same person as before. The problem is believers too easily become a product of the environment and act in the same manner as those around them who are not like Christ. 14 Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now. It doesn’t take a lot to encourage us to be as we were before simply because it fits right into the normal activity of the day that any evil is always present in. 15 As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. He has a better plan and way of life that doesn’t cater to the mannerisms of the world, but the key to it is obedience.
This issue of Democrats being non-Christian isn’t played out in the annals of congress or the halls of any statute of government. It’s convened and judged by God with respect to any holiness that might be present. Something clearly not based on the fact that by some religiously mannered activity they’re made holy or acceptable in their hypocrisy. Since holiness comes only through Christ and His salvation promise. 16 God said, “I am holy; you be holy.” This verse has sparked many a conversation around whether we make ourselves this way or are we made this way and need to live up to it. 17 You call out to God for help and he helps—he’s a good Father that way. But don’t forget, he’s also a responsible Father, and won’t let you get by with sloppy living. Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. If anyone thinks that they can get away with being a poor representative of holiness they need to think again. God purposed His offspring’s way of living long before any of us were ever conceived by the word of truth. And He established it in Christ before the foundations of the earth were ever made, making it still laced in His expectations as a Father watching His children.
How is any of this relevant to our conversation? It’s in the fact believers easily go array regarding a manner of life they’re to present in the world because they’re being led away from the truth. 18 It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. 19 He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. 20 And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. 21 It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God. 22 Now that you’ve cleaned up your lives by following the truth, love one another as if your lives depended on it.
The very thing that brings any of us to God through Christ by the Holy Spirit is the word of truth that we hear. 23 Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God’s living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself! Herein lies a fact that for any believer to be as the world is they must no longer see themselves as a Child of God. 24 That’s why the prophet said, The old life is a grass life, its beauty as short-lived as wildflowers; Grass dries up, flowers droop, 25 God’s Word goes on and on forever. This is the Word that conceived the new life in you. 1 Peter 1:14-25 (MSG)
Now do not get your anxieties wrapped around the fact that I used the Democrats as an example in this. They are no worse off than anyone else whether it be a Republican or Independent or whoever that acts unholy. This isn’t tied to politics, but the political arena has given way to this evil mannerisms way too often. And the hypocrisy that’s seen in it is discouraging to those who want to be seen as God expects them to be. Jesus made it clear that anyone who testifies falsely of who’s they are and seeks honor from others for it, is of their father the devil.
